Hey guys, I dont have a grain scale. I was wondering, how many grains are in my arrows? I have a mailing scale. THanks.
well you have to describe to us your arrows man,
are they wood? what lenth? what diameter?
are aluminum? what shaft size are they?
are they carbons?
what name? what size?
what points are you shooting?
plastic or feather fletching?
we need some details to be able to help you
You might be able to use that postage scale. There is a formula for converting grams to grains, I don't recall it off hand. Let me see if I can scrounge it up. I'll post it if I can.
think he was asking the conversion from grains to ounces.... (no, I don't have it handy).... someone has it.
Heres what I know,
Easton ST Epic 400 (8.7 grains per in) 30 in long.
3 fletch 4" feathers.
I dont know about the point or inserts. It says HP inserts on arrows.
What I was wondering if there is a standard weight for grains to ounces because I have a mailing scale. Thanks.
1 gram = 15.43 grains
1 grain = 0.06479891 gram
1 ounce = 28.349523125 / 31.1034768 grams
7000 grains pr pound.
1oz=437.5gr.
thx guys, they are a little over an ounce (its spring scale) so I figure there around 500.
1 pound = 16 ounces = 454 grams = 7000 grains
How many pints are in a cup?
One ton = Aw never mind.
No, you're right! There are a ton of pints in a cup. Now, how many pecks in a bushel of chickens?
Killdeer
Willow, I think you've found some of our comedians. Go with Freeman's answer.
