Title: question about Bingham 62" hybrid.......
Post by: LookMomNoSights on December 11, 2014, 03:24:00 PM
Was wondering if anyone had put one of these together AND put it to the chrono...... Im no speed freak per say,  but like to know at least an approximation for any bow I shoot or would build.....for educational purposes more than anything.  Ill be puting one of these together real soon to break the ice on my bow building journey and was curious of what to expect.  My first bow form will be this exactly right to the plan.  Already looking forward to my own design plans,  but I know I have to crawl first.....and Im still taking it all in here and learning so much.   Anyways,  the 62" Bingham hybrid?  Experiences?  How does she handle and shoot an arrow?    :campfire:

My first form I built was the Bingham 62" Hybrid form. I have built many bows now off of the same form. It makes a very nice mild R/D bow. It shoots smooth and very little hand shock. Speed is hard to pinpoint because of all the variables. But I can get 170 plus fps out of a heavy, heavy arrow and higher speeds when I drop arrow weight. I primarily shoot heavy arrows meaning 11-12 gpp.

This was my first bow off the Bingham form and still one of my favorite bows thus far...

Cameron,  thanks for the info!   Very nice looking bow too!  When I build the form,  Ill try to get as precise as possible,  as to get the most out of that particular design.  If I can get a good shooter with respectable speed,  Ill be happy!

Built my first one off the same form last spring. Shoots very smooth and pretty quick. My son killed a real nice tree with it this fall. LOL
