I have some black palm I'll be using on a couple of bows...but I don't know what sort of wood the coconut palms have.

I am sure it can be used for lams.

I'll be using black palm for risers, but they'll all have a G10 I-beam.

I have been looking around on the web and I think it looks like the same thing.I am thinking about putting vaneer on the limbs and for the riser I was going to put an osage flare in the middle so the osage would be in the fade out.
Andy, do you have any pictures of it?

i have used the red palm in both risers and as lams. Great in risers, though a bit like Wenge needs careful sanding and grain filling.Had no real problems using it as a lam either.Looks stunning. Actaully posted couple bows on here while back with some in them.
