I followed another build along on here to make my first heat box. I sure appreciate all the information shared here. Gives hacks like me a chance to try and build a bow.
I built this 24"x12"x78" with 5 light sockets. I plan to use a 1" closed cell foam insulation piece to make a smaller box for takedowns. Wires are all on the bottom and its on casters so it's easier to move. I need to wire in the snap disk still and I may add eye bolts to the ends so I can hang it from the ceiling when not in use.

You have built a very nice hot box. Your bulbs being in the bottom will give you better performance. One thing you might consider is putting a heat shield over the bulbs to eliminate hot spots.

Thanks for the tip James, I'll do some test runs and move around my thermometer to test that effect.
