Title: Puerto Vallarta
Post by: elk ninja on March 04, 2008, 11:25:00 AM
Not sure where to post this, but I thought this would be a good start.  I am headed to PV Mexico the third week in June this year and was wondering of anyone has done any hunting down there?  I'd love to bring my bow and my cousin (it's a family reunion) also shoots trad.  Hogs?  Some kind of deer?  Any advice, pointers, stories, contacts....?  (And if you've beeen there, but not hunted and have some advice, feel free to PM me, I'd love to hear about it!)  If there's no hunting, no sweat, I KNOW there is some good fishing down there!

Not sure about the hunting, but good lord, go Yellow fin tuna fishing, PV has some 200+lb Yellowfin, not far from shore.I have a friend who fishes w/ a pretty good charter captain.Pm me if you want more info.
Not trying to be a nervous nellie, but its getting pretty crazy down there (worse than the last few years)

I don't really know about hunting either, but have been there twice in the past 10 years and the fishing is SWEET! It is an absolutely beautiful place and even if you don't find any hunting opportunities you will definitely enjoy yourself immensely... the beautiful Caribbean with a mountainous backdrop... yep, I like it there  :D

kurtbel5, what do you mean it is getting "crazy" down there?

Kevin.
