It's been a long year. Generosity got the best of me and before I knew it I had committed to build more bows than I even had material for. So many months, and a crap load of laminations later, I finally finished one for myself.
It's actually the second recurve I've built on this form (same as my RD longbows just bigger tip wedge, shorter length and wider limb.
It 58" ntn, 1.6" wide at the fades, 3/8" tips, not quite pyrimidal taper. 62#@26" according to my scale which I actualy think is light by around 5# ... I think it's probably closer to 70# in reality and so does my shoulder.
Hickory back (.150/.002) Walnut core (.170/.002) Ipe belly (started at .150/.002 ... less than .120 remaining)
Kingwood Riser, Hickory accent stripe, kingwood and maple overlays. ~1/32 past center.
The arrows are surewood doug fir. 23/64", breast tapered 11/32"point and 5/16" nock with kingwood footings. ~545-560grain total arrow weight w/ 125gr points, 27" BOP ... I think they're around 55-60#spine so hopefully stiff enough. My first try with footing arrows ... what a bitch. Wish I bought more 23/64" surewoods when they had them .... kicking myself now.
Here goes. Full draw will come soon, lots going on right now, full shoot in and arrow tune this sunday.

Thank you for all the kind words. It's greatly appreciated. Learned everything reading this forum and asking questions to the old guys.

thanks Chris, it all started coming together once you told me to not mess with hickory unless the grain is premium. That was about 2 years ago IIRC.
