Post by: steadman on September 16, 2014, 05:16:00 PM
am going to try my hand at building a 1 pc recurve. What kind of stack do those of you who make glass recurves use? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

Using my form similar to a Grizzly: On a 58" NTN .250 will get me 50-52Lb

Thanks! I should put it's a one pc and an 18" riser. Do you put a parallel and a taper or 2 tapers? Thanks again!

Ryan,

Here is Binghams site, you probably already have seen this, but if not look to left side and click on draw weight chart for a general idea....

Think they use a 21" riser.....

I built a 60" last year with a 19" riser(off a Kodiak Hunter but with added hook in tips and a power lam/tip wedge) using .0025" per inch taper and .262" at butt of lams stack .

It came in at 48# @ 28"
