Hey guys finally finishedy first one!!
Thank you all for your help with all my questions, if you don't remember awhile back I posted about my form breaking during glue up and my glass sliding. The best I could do was an 1-1/4 wide riser. Then I missed weight (was light) so I piked the limbs, well that went well till someone got a little crazy filing the knocking points!! So we piked again. Then, of course I was way to heavy so time to start trapping. I'm pretty pleased with how she came out though.
She is:
60.5" ntn drawing roughly 62#'s at 26"s
Brazilian teak riser and riser overlay and brown camo action would limbs and riser with ash accents and limb cores
7.25" brace hight
And pushing a 750 gr arrow at 161 fps
Thanks again guys for all your help love this site!!

Very nice!! Heck of a bow for your first, can't wait to see the next one!! Good job!!!

Well, it sure came out looking nice. You did a good job on that riser. I like stories like these. . . a bow riddled with flaws, but eventually saved and better. It reminds me of the story of the prodigal son.

Very nice! I am using that exact same combo for the one I am currently working on, just sub in bocote for the teak... Great job

Thanks guys I was ready to give up on it when I pulled it from the oven and saw the form and my limbs so glad you guys encouraged me to keep with it and try to pull something from the mess. I'm very happy with what I came out with of course there are flaws but there always will be to some extent and and for my first I'm proud. Can't wait for the next build!!! Addicted!

Very nice, especially for your first. Great wood selection also.

Very nice bow. Not to mention it's your first. You couldn't ask to learn a lot more in a build either. Good work!
-
Way to recover, man! Great first bow, for sure!
-
Nice bow! Glad you didn't give up! Some bows just have a lot of fight in them from the start!
