I have a sweet set of extra RC limbs that deserve their own riser to live on. I have never built a TD riser, but how hard can it be. LOL
I stumbled into some sheets of phenolic, 1/2" thick that I am thinking of using for the riser . No wood, just black phenolic. So the question is, would it be best to glue up the phenolic block with the 1/2" thickness stacked back to front, or side to side?
I am guessing side to side will be stronger, but realy have no idea which way is strongest. Also what glue is best for phenolic to phenolic?

Pete,
Any idea what type of phenolic it is? I would probably glue it up side by side with smooth on, then after the riser is glued and squared up, I would glue on a piece of black glass on the back to tie it all together and provide a nice surface for the limbs

I would do front to back, for appearance sake if nothing else. Let me know if you have too much of that material as I can always use extra! :)
