Hey guys me and my friend share a fletching jig etc..and I it seems that we are not getting the proper helical on our arrows its the cheapo plastic fast fletch thing that works great BUT ..It says right helical on it so we use right wing feathers right??? if so is there something else we could be doing wrong when applying etc..Thanks

Yep, you use right wing feathers in a right wing clamp. Most clamps have some adjustment for the amount of helical. Maybe it's set for too much helical such that the entire feather isn't lying flat on the arrow shaft. If so, adjust it a little to reduce some of the helical. Also, be sure you are, in fact, using right wing feathers. If you hold a right wing feather in front of you pointing away from you, the lip should be on the left side. If it's on the right side, it's a left wing feather, and that won't work in a right wing jig. Good luck.

It sounds like your ok with the right hand helical fletch with a right hand helical jig.
Drop the cheapo fast fletch.Share the cost of a Bitzenbuger with your friend and that will be the end of that problem.
Even here in Canada at Bass Pro ,they are only 90$.
Buy the way ,just so you know ,it does not matter if you are right or left handed either helical will work.
Good luck and good shooting
