I bought a used Super Shrew and am going to have some weight taken off to end up with a 45# bow.I was just wondering what carbons others are using out there for similar setups in the Super Shrew.I was shooting CE Maximas out of a 46# BW recurve but the BW can probably shoot a much stiffer shaft than a Shrew because of centershot.I'm shooting Easton Epic 600's out of a 40# BW recurve and I'm thinking that the 600's will probably work but I was just wondering what others are shooting out of 45# Shrews.Thanks.

Ray I don't have Shrew, but I'm shooting Epic 600's out of a Fedore Xtreme Bob Lee hunter and a Mosshorn which is simular to a Shrew
If you don't have a long draw the new Carbon Express Heritage 90's may work for you. They have a spine of .531 and weigh 9.4 gpi,but they are 29" long to start with.
I shoot Gold Tips 35-55 shafts out og my 51 Lb Shrew Longbow and they work great.
I should have mentioned that I keep them full length and use 100 Grain adapters and 125 grain tips.
StickbowManMI,if your having to shoot full length 35/55 Goldtips with 51# then I won't be able to shoot a 500 spine Carbon with 45#.I hope my 600's that I shoot with my 40# Widow will be weak enough.

Goldtip 35/55s are pretty easy to tune. My Shrew likes them, but then again, you will find that a Shrew is pretty easy to tune arrows to. Good luck.
Ray, dont under estimate the arrows that you will need. Shrews like heavy stiff arrows. I have a couple that are 53#@28" and I shoot 2216 aluminum, 65-70# woodies, or 55-75 Goldtip with 220 grains up front. All of these setups fly like darts from my bows.
I don't know much about carbons because I don't shoot them hardly at all. I would say that your going to need an arrow that is spined for 55-60 pounds at least. That is figuring that your drawing 28" or around there.
