So what do you have going on New Years day? Hunting? Bow building? Resting? Gonna go see some family tomorrow, the uncle that can no longer hunt but can tell stories for hours. Love that man.

I just glued up a 66" hickory backed osage board bow with 2 1/2" reflex in the tips. Hope to glue the handle on and start tillering it tomorrow. O/w I promised my daughter that I'd make a run to Starbucks before she goes to the movies with her friends. Good luck on your bows, guys. :coffee: :)

Gluing up the 8 .023 lam extreme static recurve tips for the Yanghai Scythian profile-replica that I'm building. Then later today will glue them to the main core which has already been steamed and then glued into the other cupid curves...
Hoping I can roll out of bed and glue my hickory backing to this prime ERC I have waiting. If not, video game hunting, which is all the hunting I got this season after the stroke (at least, that's what they think it was.) Still time left, I can walk more now, but I haven't got a good reliable bow-I keep giving them away. Got to make me one (a few.)
Gluing up the second limb for a 60" TD Recurve. Clear glass, action boo, and pau ferro should make a sweet limb.
Roy too many wobbly pops last nite? :knothead:
Working on a couple of pedestals for my taxidermist friend, then going through my shop to see what I have available for my swap bow. If I still have time, I might do some work on a tri lam that's been sitting in the shop for months waiting for me to get caught up on my other projects.
Happy New Year!
Dave.
I've been drinking coffee all morning and got sucked into the New Year's Twilight Zone marathon on the Sci Fi channel. I love that old show
Real productive day.
Doing tests with fish bladder- and hide glues and scratching my head. Bue--.

Took pictures and uploaded them to my veneer thread this morning. Now I'm keeping in touch with the family rest of the day. Mother is in the hospital after having a heart attack. Touch and go for now. Praying for a speedy recovery.
Prayers on the way, Troy.
