I have had great service from Grizzly, the one time I needed them they were there and solved my problem, I would'nt hesitate buyin another machine from them. Best machine for the money in my book.

Grizzlies are very good. I can't imagine that you would be disapointed.

I hated mine , tho it was/is being used in a blacksmith shop.  It is a metal cutting saw but the service that I received from Grizzley would prevent me from ever buying that brand name again whatever the tool.

I have a couple of Griz tools included a 14" bandsaw.  My one complaint about it is that I have went thru a pile of guide bearings and thrust bearings.  I cut alot of hardwoods and even keeping them lubed hasn't helped all together.  I've found a very cheap place to purchase replacement bearings since, but I wish it has guide blocks instead.  Beyond that it is an excellent tool and my next saw will be a bigger Grizzly.  Customer service has always been tops every time I've called. dino

I love all of my grizz tools, no problems with my band saw.  But I willl say I am not  a heavy tool user.  Service from grizzly has always been good to me.

The one you mentioned is the one I have.  Great saw, handles everything I need it to and easy to change blade.  Chad

I considered the 14" Ultimate but sprang for the 14" Extreme Series.  For $200 more it had a lot more stuff.  The 1.5HP motor gives it plenty of power for hardwood.  The wheels are cast iron instead for aluminum, bigger table, better fence, work light...

I bought mine in December 07 and Grizzly lowered the price $20 for 08 so I sent an email and asked if they would give me the lower price.  They sent me a gift certificate for $20.

My only complaint is that the throat plate seems to be odd sized.  I would like to have a few zero-clearance inserts but can't find them.  Making a round insert might be a bit of a challenge.  Has anybody found inserts?

Kevin ,thats the one I got too. You can get a carbide blade for under 30.00 ,the drawback is wider kerf. They also have carbide imbedded blades, may have to call and quiz em about those!
