Has anyone found Osage growing in New England? I'm in Massachusetts and have wanted to find and cut some Osage since I first got into this in the late 90s. Anyone come across any or am I chasing a pipe dream and need to face the fact of a long drive to Osage country? I don't even know if I could spot an osage tree in the woods... guess I'll cross that bridge when....
You'll have the eternal thanks of an osage hungry Yankee!

all 48 continental states ... where is still a mystery. I've never seen any in NY or NE
https://gobotany.newenglandwild.org/species/maclura/pomifera/ apparently in every county in MA. I'd find someone who does tree work and offer a bounty on information leading to stave harvest.
I have not seen any in NH, at least not in the places I have been. Jawge
On the plus side, there is a ridiculous excess of hickory, black locust, ERC, hophornbeam, maple, oak, walnut, ash, and elm.
I like the bounty idea Ben. Thanks for the links too.
Check with the forestry commission or local foresters.
I know where there are 2 trees here 20 miles south of Albany.
What will it take to get you to give up the location Horatio?
Sounds like I need to do a more thorough search of my area.
