Ok yall have been chopping at the bit so here we go.
Stixs is out completely this year. Last year was ruff for he and his family and they could use some prayers.
So, I will head up the swap this year DO NOT FLOOD MY BOX WITH PM"S.
Please read all the rules. There was only one change.
I will PM you with your info on your builder. You can discuss anything in this thread and ask any questions here in the open forum. If you have any special concerns then send me an email.
Shot me a PM with your mailing address so your bowyer knows where to send it.
Gonna go ahead and start this to give some folks an extra week of planning and building.
sign ups will be closed at midnight January the 15th
READ ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS!!!!!!!!!
Contact phone # is Required! You can just send it to me Privately and it will be added to the spread sheet and kept private.
Anyone that was asked not to ship on account of their recipient being late will not be on the list of shippers to hold
If you shipped late or are a new sign up your builder will be holding your bow until you ship and provide either me a tracking # and we OK your builder to ship. This is the only way we can keep someone from receiving and not sending.
We have had a few out of country entries in the past. I don't have an issue shipping out of country but if any one does send me a PM and I will take care of it. I shipped a bow to Turkey and Stiks has shipped overseas for around 45-50$ and figure it should be roughly the same for anywhere else. If you have an issue with it just send me a PM. It does cost a small fortune to ship to Africa, You can ship a TD to Africa for around 50 or 60 bucks.
*****Change****
DEADLINE
For new and late shippers will be Friday 13 June or before.
Our vets who shipped on time last year will be Friday 11 July
READ ALL RULES BEFORE SIGNING UP
#1 There will be a 30 day grace period after the final to be shipped date. Any bows not shipped by then and I will ask you to forward the bow you receive to your recipient. The only exeptions will be made by Kelly and My self and a few other members I intend to contact
Change **** if you go past the grace I will ask your recipient if they will give you more time if they grant it then great if not you will forward your received bow or will have your bowyer ship it to them if appropriate.
The only way We will make any exceptions to this rule is if you contact us and let us know what is going on. We do understand things happen and We are willing to work with anyone should an emergency arise, But YOU HAVE TO KEEP COMMUNICATION OPEN AND STAY IN TOUCH WITH us. No exceptions!
Okay here we go.
The way we'll do this to insure everybody get's a bow they can shoot is draw names. If you want in post here and at the end of sign up I will draw names and PM or email to the builder who your bow is going to and the specs desired.
#1 When you post that you are in also post your draw length and desired draw weight within a 5 or 10 pound range and right or left-handed. (example.. 45-50 or 40-50) Also state whether you will be building a glass or wood bow, one pice or TD for the trade. I need to know this for shipping purposes out of country.
#2 When you post pics during the build DO NOT state in any fashion whom your bow is going to.
#3 I have given this a lot of thought and to keep it as honest as possible no one who has signed up to TradGang after the date of this post can enter. I hate to exclude anyone but have heard of it here in past trades that one guy or another did not get a return on his trade and DO NOT want that to happen.
#4 The time frame for the build will be about 6 months and the bow you built should if any way possible be shot in. Bows need to finished and shipped by the last day of June
#5 There was a few concerns about liability so I will throw in that anyone who receives a bow in this trade is doing so at his/her own risk and in no way holds any one responsible in any way should a misfortune occur due to use of such bow.
#6 if you are building a glass bow and only want a glass bow in return or vice versa for wood bowyers please state this in the sign up, otherwise you may receive a glass or wood bow.
There we have it. I tried to keep it as simple as possible and keep everybody happy. So let the building and swapping commence.
Have fun! Kelly
And I am left handed, Self bow 50-60# and any shooting bow is fine by me!
I'm in- right handed, 45-55#s@ 28" prefer a glass bow. I'll build a glass bow TD or snubnose.
Me! Me! I'm in!
Oh, the info? I will be making a glass bow, one piece.
I would love either a right-handed glass or wood bow in return that shoots 55@29 (+/- 10lbs either way is fine by me though, especially minus....) I shoot split if it matters to anyone.
I belive Trux was the first person that wasn't an organizer to sign up last year too! Dang him.
:clapper:
Also, can we get a clarification? Are grace period shippers last year considered late (that might include 2/3 of us?) Or are you talking those that shipped after the grace period ends?
I'M IN!!!
rh 50-60@29" anything i can hunt with in the rain, sun, or snow will be awesome.
i'll be building a glass or selfbow depending on which tickles my fancy.
Count me in!! I'm left handed with a 26" draw. Anything is fine with me. I stand hunt, blind hunt and still hunt. I prefer 50-60# bows. I'll make a backed osage bow. Either hickory or bamboo backing.
I'll throw my hat in the ring. I'm building (at this point, barring issues) a hickory backed ERC of some design. Have the wood all sitting here ready to go.
Due to my ridiculous draw length, if nobody can take on my draw I'm completely content to just make and ship a bow. But, if anyone wants to try it, RH 40-50 draw of 36" full but I can probably do 32" and above. Like I said, I can just build and ship, my point is about honing my skills, not about getting something in return (plus, I know I'm REALLY hard to build for.)
I'm in and will build a glass TD LB.
I am right handed, 27" draw and anything from 40-55 would be fine.
Ahh, heck Ed... I'll be happy to tie a string on a 10' section of bamboo and it send it your way. That would be plan b of course...
Seriously, sounds like a challenge more than just me, myself, and I would take on. LittleBen might be a bit more challenged than the rest of us of course....
I built a four foot string horsebow with a 36" draw (it was PVC, to be fair) so I know it's doable, but I don't think most of your tiller trees go that far.
I'm in Kelly. I will build a selfbow and will appreciate any bow of any material. I am right handed and draw 26" and like bows from 45# to 60#
I'm ALL IN! 50-60#@26" please, right handed. I'll be happy with any type of bow, glass, or wood.
I plan on building an all wood bow. Probably a laminated one, but who knows, anything could happen including glass.
I think I can draw 36" if I draw it like a foot bow .... My tiller tree only goes to 32", but I guess I could always cut more notches into it ... LOL!
Word to the wise on shipping overseas, USPS used to ship 72" packages overseas, but now 60" is the MAXIMUM that USPS will ship.
Fed-ex and UPS will ship 72" but it will cost a small fortune ($300 or so).
So if you're shipping to Europe plan on a bow no more than 58"!!!!!! or a TAKEDOWN!!!!
I'm in I'll be building a boo backed bow.
I'm right handed 45-50 27in draw any type will work for me glass or wood.
Kelly,
Maybe shooting style would also be helpful, split or three under.
By the way I'm in!
55@29 +\\- 5 right handed, split shooter, would like a glass bow or flip tipped selfy or tri lam bbo in return. I will build a glass bow.
Cory
Count me in! I'll build a bamboo backed tri lam.
I shoot right handed, 3 under, and I draw 55# +/- 5# at 28".
I'll be happy with any bow, but I wouldn't complain if I got a takedown. ;)
Dave.
I am in again with the proviso that my builder is aware of shipping costs to and fro to here. I sent couple bows your way for about $70 Aus last year, but my builder used same shipping company and was hit more than double that. Hint -cardboard tube would be better than PVC tube cost wise, but could also be more susceptible to damage. I would make a glass long bow of any weight from 30# to 70# with Aussie woods and don't mind what ever in return and weights from 40# to 55#, preferably toward lower end.
I'll be in again!
I will probably build an Osage self bow unless I work up the nerve to build my first glass bow.
I am 50# @ 27" right handed and will love what ever is delivered. ( I really like those bbo tri lams I've been seeing on here)
I would like to try this, wood or glass 45/55#s,29.5- 32". I am right handed. I have only got a years experience with building bows so would like to be paired with another new bowyer, if possible.
Joe
Scar with any luck I will draw you a veteran to build for so they can give you honest feed back.
I forgot to add send me your Address if you are new to the swap.
Also Clarification
if you went past the grace your bow can not be shipped to you until you have shipped out.
That's fine, will send info to you. I'm honored and agree to all terms. This is so awesome Thank you.
Joe
Count me in again Kelly! Right handed and anything from 45-65 @ 27" will do. I'll be building a selfbow.
How can I not play again its so much fun. I'll be building a glass 3 piece bow.
as for me::::::: right hand three under 50-55pounds and prefer glass bow
thanks for the hard work kelly
Count me in too. I've been wanting to give this a try for a couple years now. I've built a dozen or so glass longbows, both one piece and takedown. As for the return bow, right handed and anything 55-60lbs works for me.
It's been awhile since I've posted 'round here. 'Bout time I get back in gear and get some bows made. Thanks for heading this up again, Kelly.
I will be making a one-piece wooden bow (self or laminated TBA) and would prefer to build for someone with a 50#@28" draw or less, as I'm rather short and scrawny. :) Those "big boy bows" make it difficult for me to properly shoot in.
I would truly like to add a glass bow to my arsenal this year, and one that my wife and I can both shoot. Right-handed at 30-35#@26" (or 35-40#@28") would be perfect.
I've been shooting my bow from last year's swap, Kevin, but I've yet to get any blood on that fantastic arrow you sent along with it! Thanks again for a great bow!
I'm in. I'll be building a glass bow. I'm a rh shooter and any kind of bow in the range of 55-60@28 would be fine.
__________
Andy
I enjoyed the swap last year so I will add my name to the mix as well!
My specs:
Right Handed
50-65# would work and I am a 28 inch draw
I haven't made up my mind on which way I will sway but it will either be a glass longbow and/or a bamboo backed one. I am leaning towards a glass bow though.
In return I would really wish for a short or takdown glass bow. Or a veteran selfbow with some skins... love them bows!
I really hope for one for turkey hunting which happens in May up my way...wink wink lol!
Thank you as always for heading this up... I enjoyed sending out two bows last year to my fellas. Such a great feeling when I received pictures of them shooting the bows and enjoying my work as much as I did building them.
Thank you to all who sign up and please please please POST EM' PICTURES!!!!!!
Justin
4est trekker,
Well, I will cross my fingers for luck.. I was hoping you would have a chance at planting that arrow..maybe soon.
I want to sign up as well. It will be made from wood, probably bamboo and yew this year.
I would like a glass bow.. 40-50@27" right handed...
I have plenty of wood bows...and I will probably throw in something extra..something pointy on one end and feathers on the other....
I'm in. I will make a glass pronounced TD longbow.
My specs are RH, 50(+-5)preferably -@ 30"
Would like glass or BBO or tri lam bow.
I will play,
I will build a RD one piece, my form will produce a 64" max, I build mostly 62" right now, so the real long draw bows would be out, I can build a left handed bow, but shoot in would be limited. I would prefer not to ship over seas but will if needed.
I would prefer a glass bow,RH take down or one piece, draw weight 55-60#@28" a couple pounds on either side would be fine.
I shoot right handed, draw solid 28", I like 45# - 55#, (self, wood lam, wood/glass lam, anything, except take downs, is fine)
I personally will build a glass laminated 1 piece longbow, 45# - 55#
Blast, I should fix this. Last night I drew a friend's bow I made him with a roughly 50 pound draw. This morning my shoulder socket is grinding and popping, in the need to see the ortho guys again sense. I should probably revise down to about 40 pounds, not 40-50. This arm isn't getting any tighter in the socket as I age. Rather a bow I can shot than one I can't. Don't care glass, wood, PVC, whatever. Not picky at all.
Benn looking forward to this years swap. I'm right handed, 28 inch draw, 45 to 50 pounds. I'll be making a glass bow, either a hill style or r/d long bow.
I'm in.
Any type bow design or materials is fine, prefer 60-65 pounds @ 29", but anything between 50-70 works, prefer right-handed.
I will build a glass or self bow (no Tri-lams or BBO's), longbow or recurve, depends on what my recipient wants.
I will ship internationally if needed.
I'm in. Currently building 1 piece R/D glass longbows. I may try my hand at a 2 piece (thanks Swiss)
Any 29" right-hand bow, 50-60# is good for me
Count me in. Right hand,45-55 lbs. will take anything ,will make a fiberglass or composite bow - joe
Count me in as well. I will build a TD Longbow.
Right handed 28" draw #50-60#. Does not matter to me what I get.
Ok I have 28 so far joined up. If you are new shoot me your mailing address unless you want me to have your bows. :)
Just a thought,,,
Since a lot of folks trolled through the posts lookin for insight on their victim...
Here is some help...
I really like Hill style bows...the bows and their builders that have been posted here have me coveting thy neighbor's possessions...
I'm in again.
I will build a bamboo backed R/D something wood.
I would like any bow close to 45 to 50 @ 28"
I shoot right handed, split.
Thanks
I miss counted before with mac though we are up to 31.
Count me in again this year please.
I will be building a wood selfbow of some fashion. I do best at building for draw lengths 28" and less and under 55#
For my builder I draw 27" and shoot right hand 3 under. 45 to 53# at 28" is fine, and any type or style as long as there is NO SNAKE SKIN , wood , glass or what ever the builder likes to make is fine as long as there is NO SNAKE SKIN .
Pete
Well something tells me pete does not like snakes.
those crazee alberians!!!

Could also be that his local government really does like snakes and frowns on skins that aren't attached to them.
Thanks Kelly.
I will make a wooden bow, one piece. I'd rather not ship out of country..
I would prefer a glass bow (I have enough wooden bows :) ); 50# at 27"; split finger; right handed.
nope, i lived in alberia once... they're crazee...
fujimo
I take it your in then also.
I'm in too. I will build what ever my recipient would like, self bow, glass long bow, three piece take down. Just call it.
I had rather have a glass bow. Like John, I have a lot of wood bows. I'm right handed. Would like 50-60 lb at 26". Shoot split finger.
Pete, what's the matter man? Was hoping to get your name and send you one of my copper head specials.

alberta government don't like to see real skins on a bow. can't kill them there. i lived in medicine hat and nearly got a fine for hunting rattlers with a skin backed bow. was lucky that the cop decided to let me go home with bow cause i had only just moved there.
looking to build glass hoping to receive glass I would not be angry with a three piece :saywhat: Lol
45-50 ish @ 26" split finger rh
best of luck to all on this year's build :campfire:

Have wanted to try my hand at hill bows for a while now, Kevin. Could be our lucky build :scared:
I'm in, will be building a wood bow of some type. I shoot right handed, split fingers, prefer 55 - 65# @27".
Ok just for the record ... I'm firmly planted here in the land of the free (or so they say) ... so snake skins will be fine! Hahaha.
No snakes in this house. Not going to happen. And that is my choice.
had a neighbour with snakes when I was on the fire dept and told that guy if his place caught fire it would be an outside attack only unless he could produce the snakes.
I had a bow sent here one time with snake on it and as soon as I saw it I taped it back up and returned it. That sucker never got 2 inches out of the box.
lots of guys have them here on their bows, no laws against it. It is just the local snakes that are protected. We realy don't have many and up here where I am we can almost say we are snake free, other than the odd garter snake, that I still give lots of room between him and me.
Pete
I'm brother to Water Moccasin, I think I'd be afraid of myself if I were afraid of snakes.
I don't mind skins at all-in fact, I like them. Never can find water moccasin skins though-everybody wants rattler. I never can get time to go off on the lake alone to go hunting them, either.
I'm in. I will build a glass longbow. I will be happy with whatever I get in return. I draw 29" around 55 pounds, right handed.
Well if you were in past swaps and moved just verify your address with me even if you sent me the new one. I my not have saved it.
If you were never in a swap get me your address unless you just want me to get your bow. MUAHAHAHAHA!
Evil Kelly just evil lol
I'm in again; last year was fun. And thanks again Kelly for heading this up!
I will be building a 3 piece glass TD.
I'd be happy with anything in the range of 45-60# at 28" draw. I shoot RH three under.
I would like to get in this year.I will build a glass one piece bow.I would like a glass bow in return.Right handed,45-50@28".
I'm in. Will make a one piece wooden bow and anything in return will be fine. I'd be happy with anything in the range of 45-55# at 27"...shoot RH spilt fingers. Please no snake. Sacred mt
OOps!!!! Shoot Split fingers:)
Sacred mt
Well we are at 41 so far.
I'm in! I'll build a one piece glass R/D longbow. I'd be happy with anything 45-60# @ 28" RH split fingers.
If my count is correct we have so far:
20 people building glass bows
16 people building wooden bows of some fashion
5 people on the fence between glass or wood
Hopefully we get even more people in the swap this year! It was so cool to watch as our creations came to life.
Keep signin up boys!
Justin
Yes that is about what I count also. I think this is the first year where the glass guys out numbered the wood guys.
I was thinkin the same thing Kelly. Maybe the wood guys will jump in in a lil while.
I'm on the fence here, I have a stave coming but if I ruin it I won't have anything to fall back on.

:dunno: and where is 'ole Roy on this one ??? :dunno:
No tellin' where Roy is. Maybe stocking up for the "Killer freeze" that's sweeping in.
I'm making a wood bow but have no problem receiving a glass bow. I love the fg r/d bow jsmoffit sent me during the third swap. Thanks, Jared.
I hope to send bows to as many states as possible and receive as many different styles of bow as possible. It's a blast showing the "free" bows to folks. People are amazed at the concept of the bow swap. They often don't get it. They want to know how much the bows cost. My answer is, "Priceless :saywhat: ."
You nailed it Red, I've had the same response from most of the folks that I show mine to. So far I've received a beautiful oak self bow from Vanilla Bear, a r/d glass long bow and turkey call from Ralph Morris, and Hickory backed white oak from K-hat. I wouldn't give any of them up, all three are truly works of art. I try to hunt with each of them every year to honor their makers.
I hear ya Dan I wouldn't part with any of my bows I've got on the swap either. They mean so much to me. I can't decide if I can get in the swap this year or not. As of New Years day I found out that I was going to be a daddy for the first time and am not really for sure how much time I'll have. But then again the swap would be over with before it gets here...hummmmmmm.
Congrats 'D', welcome to the future, changing diapers, red eyed from no sleep, but the greatest gift of all!
lolol Thanks for the pep talk bob...lolol I am super excited though.
D congrats!
you have time now but in about 9 months you will need a new bow to help keep your sanity.
lolol Gee you guys really know how to make me look forward to what's coming..lololol Your right though I would have time this year but next year will be the issue. Alright count me in. I'll be building a glass bow or a backed bow of some kind. I know that's a wide range but I haven't made my mind up yet. Anyway I shoot right handed 50-60#@28. If you need anything else Kelly let me know. Thank ya for the congrats sir.
Congrats D!

My wife still doesn't get it. "Why do you spend so much time making a bow for someone you don't even know?" Every year she forbids me from entering again. You can see how that's worked out for her...

Jump on over the fence to the dark side and just do it. If you need a second stave, you will find plenty of help from the other participants. Trust me on this!
:goldtooth:
Canopyboy I under stand that, my wife said I thought you were not doing that this year. Well I was not going to because of work but things changed there so I can.
I did learn from last year I enter this on and the one on PA that was to much for me. I am only good for about 2 bows a year if I am lucky. Talk about stress.
Congrats D! My wife and I just had our third, a second baby girl in Dec. They're the most challenging and the most rewarding thing you will ever encounter. And don't worry too much about the sleep thing. You'll forget what "sleep" is in no time :biglaugh:
Dave, that is awesome news congratulations. Get in the swap and make a bow now, cause you wont have time later.
I was debating with myself on whether to do the swap this year or not. I was the worst offender last year for being late and was considering a self imposed penalty. However my daughter said I should get in again to prove i can do it but that "I should start yesterday" So I guess I am in again. RH, 28-29" draw, anywhere from 40-60# and any make or model.
Thanks everybody... Glad you got in again Tony.
If needed I could build a wood bow vs a glass to keep the # even ...let me know :readit:
Great news, D! Don't let these guys stress you. You'll love it. Anyway, a new baby will stress you more than this! LOL! :knothead:
Glad you're in, Razorback! I wasn't far ahead of you finishing my last trade bow and deliberated on entering, or not. Surely we can't have two bad years in a row... Can we?
Congrats D, it is definitely life changing. Just like the bows, I wouldn't give a minute of that time back.
Thanks Red, I'm not planning on another bad year. i already have a couple of options in the works. i may not be one of the first finished but I'm not going to be one of the last.
Soy I would just suggest you wait and see who you draw and see what they my want.
Well Guys, I've been giving this some thought and I'm going to sit this year out. I've already got a couple bows promised to close friends and I've got a lot of travel coming up for work this spring.
Ya'll have fun and I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines.
Im still on the fence this year. Ive got a lot on my plate as far as bows go plus planning and prep for a moose hunt. We will see...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jsweka and maybe DVSHUNTER. But I completely understand yall must be really busy. Heck DVS can knock a bow out in a weekend. Heck with a bunch of elves at MOJAM he can supervise about 50!
Dang, that is a shocker. No John? Must have been a hard decision to make. I'm more of a jump in with both feet and figure out how to swim later kind of bowyer....
ok im gonna do it. i will be building a selfbow of some sort. and would prefer an "organic" bow, self, backed,or laminate, just no glass. RH, 3 under 50-60# (lower end of that is better i guess) @ 29". and i ain't askeered of no snakes
I had planned on getting back in again myself. However, I think this year I'll be setting this one out. I've already got more furniture building lined up than I had planned to do.
I'm out this year, best of luck on all your builds! Can't wait to see all the great bows.
Well we are up to about 46 and about halfway through the sign up.
So I randomly come back and creep but haven't posted squat. With the recent move, job change, and addition to the family I'm going to have to sit this one out. I'll also be watching from the sidelines. Good luck y'all!
goose I have a log I need to split but I know you would like a stave off it. It is good and snaky. Come over to Manhattan KS so we can split it up.
I'm in, I will build a Osage self bow maybe backed don't know yet. I shoot anything 45@27 RH.
Howard

thanks for the hard work kelly
Kelly I just saw my mistake as I was perusing through the thread. I shoot SPLIT not three under sorry about the mix up.
On the fence this time around (3rd). I guess I have a few more days to make up my mind. Been so busy hunting and trapping (trapping now)...have not been her for quite a while. I have an annual snowshoe shoot coming up soon...I'm expecting to get bit by the bug! Hopefully I can get to the bottom of my work bench...that should inspire me too!
Good luck to all the participants!
Dino you will regret not jumping in.
I sure hope enrollment picks up. There are several names missing that i would be excited to build for.
Ok I have watched this for the last two years, got to try it this year.
I make longbow R&D normally 62" & around 50# range glass bow Right handed.
I would like a self bow in Osage if possible ( but any self bow ok), target 45# +-5 @ 29" draw. I shoot 3 under right handed.
Looking forward to it!
I'm in.....
I'll make a D/R one pc longbow from 58" to 64"
Or a D/R T/D longbow in 62" or 64"
Except I don't wanna make one for ****** ** ***** ***** ** *********** *** *** ******* :D
Anything will suit me around 45-50# @ 28" right handed.
:goldtooth:
I don't want to build for that old s.o.b. either Kenny :biglaugh:
I'll build for him. Or not! LOL!
:knothead:
Kenny's post reminded me that Roy hasn't chirped and come in yet!
You got him stashed away somewhere, Kenny? With all that time on his hands, what with begin' layin' off from work and everythang... LOL!
I'll get in on this. I will build a 3 pc. TD glass longbow, and would love any flavor of glass bow in return. My specs are #50-60 @30".
Thanks,
Dave
Dave, you want a shelf on both sides, or are ya gonna pick one?
Seriously, I'm gettin' excited! Dino better get off that fence and jump in.
Dave shoot me your contact info and as canopy stated let me know if your are right or left handed.
Sorry bout that....I'm right handed. KellyG sending pm right away.
Thanks,
Dave
I would also like to join in with the swap this year.
It would have to be with someone who is happy to send out to New Zealand.
To keep down the shipping price I will build a glass take down recurve probably out of recycled NZ
Native timbers. If possible I would like a glass recurve in return right hand 50 pounds +/- @ 28.
Good luck with all the builds.
Cheers Kiwi Craig
Well now A Kiwi joins the fun. Welcome aboard that makes our 5th country including the US.
Craig welcome aboard.
Cool :shaka:
Yes, very cool.
Only today and tomorrow left to sign up, right? All you fence-sitters better jump in!
Well we have about 50 in so far, they have until I close it out some time after midnight tomorrow. I will post all I have in it so far with you stats and which shipping group you are in. Let me know if I have missed someone, if your stats are wrong or if you think I have put you in the wrong group.
The ship group only applies do the date you need to ship by only. You all are in the same hat as far as drawing names.
Very hard decision as I`ll have to wait a whole year but I`ll wait until next swap- I`m too scared to fail in timing or the build.
-just wanted to tell out because I was really struggeling making up my mind^^
Moem you may have the same doubts next year give it a whirl man it be an awesome experience...no pressure but you never know until you try :archer:
how many were there last year? over a hundred right?
No not that many just over 70 or so.
Ok here is all I have that have signed up so far. Verify your info and let me know if it is correct. I will add others as they sign up. The date is when you have to ship by. I was late last year so I have a Jun ship date trux was on time so he as the july.

We've seen some of your bows, Moritz. You should have zero worries about your craftsmanship. I do hope you jump in this year
Moe what is the worse thing that happens? if the worse does and you cant finish a bow you let me know then I just have your bowyer shift over to the new guy.
Kelly I'l be making glass l/b as listed but can make anywhere between 30# and 55#. also I shoot split.no matter what sort in return.
Kelly - I was going to wait one more year before entering this swap but I am going for it this year.
I will build a D/R glass longbow one piece. I am good with any bow...self bow would be awesome but I am good with anything. 50# - 60# 28" draw
Forgot to include that I am Right Handed
I noticed the time stamp is after 12:00 a.m. for my entry. It is 10:00 p.m. here in California but if I missed it due to my nervous hesitation just let me know.
You really gave good points- so if I´m not too late I`d join the party...
Will build short hybrid or pronounced R/D maybe TD for demand also thinking of a HH style and be glad about everything between 40-50#@30" RH tillered for split fingers.
(ok a snubnose e.g. would be outstanding awesome...)
Glad to see you changed your mind
Yup welcome aboard Moe. You'll enjoy it!
Well sign up is almost closed midnight tonight. we have added yet another country.
Hey, Kelly. I have been in the swap at PA the last couple of years, but thought I would enter yours this year, if it is not too late. I am left handed, shoot 45-50 lbs @ 27" and like all kinds of bows, but prefer a shelf. I will make a self, backed, or mult-lam all wood bow. It might have a little grass in it too (bamboo). I will PM you my personal info.
Better late than never. I will be in again this year. Been trying to decide and waited to the last minute. I will be building a self bow or maybe a bamboo backed Osage. I would prefer glass but........ I shoot anything + or - 55# @ 28". I really like shorter bows but mostly just bows in general. Thanks for all the effort you guys put in ever year. This place is awesome.
Sorry double post
Way to go Moe !!
and welcome aboard new guys. You're gonna be glad you jumped in
Welcome back brian. I will edit my post adding the new names so you last few can double check your info. I will close this out tonight or in the am. If you post or shot me a PM before Post saying it is closed you will be in. Just double check you info.
OK OK... Put my name down, Kelly.
I will take either wood or glass, 40# @ 27, RH, no sights:)
I'll be making a deflex / reflex tri lam with an Osage belly, walnut core, backed with bamboo, cow horn tip overlays, and a pretty riser....
Alright, y'all talked me into it. I'll be building a 60-62" glass T/D longbow. 45-55#
In return, a hill style with shelf and locator or dished grip would be nice, as I don't have any hill bows. But anything will be great by me.
I shoot RH, split, 28" draw, anywhere between 44 and 53#, with 47-51# preferred.
Alright Roy glad to have you. And welcome aboard Pheonixarcher.
Pheonixarcher PM me your mailing address and contact info.
I'm going to do it again.
Will build a glass lam flat bow to suit recipients needs
Would like to recieve a glass lam bow about 50# at 28". Right hand
This is shaping up pretty well! Glad you new guys hopped in! I remember how nervous I was my first trade... And the second... Uh, and the third! But it turned out okay, I guess.
Hey, Roy, has your bow poundage dropped since retirement? Maybe I'm just misremembering. :bigsmyl:
Ataa boy Roy way to keep us guessing.
Cory
WEll just under 3 hours left folks.
Go ahead and send me Roy's name so i can start whittling on my christmas tree. I think its about dry. I figure i can leave a few twigs hangin off the side so he can have a sight.
Crap that was sposed to be a pm!
Count me in...
I can build a self bow - Lam. Bow (BBI BBO) or glass for my recipient.
I would like glass 45-50# (48# is ideal) @ 28" shoot 3 under RH.
LOL man and the thumping list starts.
I'm in, finally!
I will try to build my first glass bow. This is why I'm so late to decide to jump in. Hopefully I will build a first for myself for practice and then one for the swap.
I'm right handed. Anything from 40-55# @ 28 is OK. RIght handed. Hoping for glass in return.
Excited to be here!
I forgot to mention, I've never carved a left handed riser, so ... I'd prefer to build a right handed bow.

Dang Roy, did that say you'd take GLASS!?!?! I think yer eyesight is going with yer age old man! Must be gettin hard to see the keyboard when yer typin! :deadhorse:
Sign up is Closed if your name is not before this post you are too late.
Kelly please give me Echatham's name, I'll build him a PVC bow:)
Roy's getting old. He can leave a glass bow strung and doesn't have to keep asking the missus to come and string his bows for him.
And the picking on Roy begins. One thing about that though...HE WILL PICK BACK. LOL
Kelly on second thought, give me smarty pants potty mouth Razorback and I'll make him a PVC bow:)
Roy, asking for a glass bow and now making them out of plastic. :( Oh how the mighty have fallen.
You get'em, Roy! I got yo back, boy! :smileystooges:
