I was out at our ranch this morning, working in the barn, and needed a piece of wood for something. pawing through the sticks, boards and refuse, something strangely shaped caught my eye. I pulled on it, and came up with my very first bow, almost 60 years old! It still has part of the red grip, and although one of the nocks is chewed away, still had the label on it: Woodcraft Equipment Co, Independence, MO. Part of the riser's cracked, it's stained, filthy, bird and rat poop on it, but it's my very first bow, when I was six or so years old (I'm 59 now)! Never in my wildest days did I dream I'd once again hold this bow!
That's very cool!! You going to fix her up?
That is cool.
Priceless!
I bet that will bring back some memories.
AWESOME !!!! Clean that one up & put er on the wall !!!
Great find. Ya can't beat a deal like that!

Good for you! Do you have pictures?
That is AWESOME :bigsmyl:
I don't know if the gnawed-off nock is repairable, or if the split on the little riser is repairable either. I guess this will give me the incentive to figure out how to post a photo here. gotta say, though, that it did bring a tear to the eyes! Wouldn't it be truly priceless if I could teach a grandchild to shoot with it! Like the commercial says..for everything else, there's mastercard!
I'll third the picture idea. I can't believe you didn't include a picture or two in the first place (grin)

Well, found the problem with experimenting to put a photo on the line! My new computer doesn't have an! Will have to sneak into the wife's sewing room and use hers-that's where we loaded them all. My son built me a new high speed box for playing all those neat games, but no photowhatever on it!
Now THAT is COOL!! :notworthy: :notworthy: I am Happy For Ya Angus!!! :archer:
