Does anyone have any kids bow plans they'd share for either a Hill style or R/D longbow? All I really need are the dimensions, like riser length, working limb, and stack ballparks so I can get started. I'd want one to come out about 10-12lb and be short enough a 5 yr old could shoot it and not bury the tip in the ground.

I make bamboo backed kids bows and could help a little.
Length for the little guys I like 52 inches. Some say not to exceed their height but I like them longer to make for easier drawing. For the slightly older maybe 10 on up 62 inches.
For glass bows Bingham projects or Kenny M might have some stack ideas.
I have built a few by using 2" wide glass and splitting it in half length wise, same with the lams. I just built it on my mild R/D longbow form with a 12" riser. Have built them both 48" and 50". Sorry I can't remember the stack height but I did use .040" glass. I will look around and see if I can find any notes as far as stack goes. It has been awhile since I built one, to long in fact.
Do like what Jess said and use a total thickness of .200. Infact you can get a pair of .120 .001'in tapers, 2" wide cut them up the center and glue it up with some .040 like Jess mentioned and it'll be around 20# @ 25". If you want to go with hill styled, make the total stack around .225 for 20# @ 25".
To split the wood lams, use a straight edge and a box cutter, or rotary cutter, that way you won't waste anything. To split the fiberglass use straight cutting tinsnips.
