Title: A new armgard was in the mail today
Post by: V-Archer on March 01, 2008, 02:07:00 PM
This is what the mail man brought me today: It is an armguard with a Celtic motif that Felix Valle, a Spanish trad shjooter and leather crafter, made for me.
There is a story behind this gift: Felix saw on my web-sit the Morning Mist build-along and he mailed me if it was possible to translate the text into Spanish for his web-site. So I asked my Spanish colleague if he was willing to translate this build-along and he agreed.
After a couple of weeks it was ready and my colleague shipped the CD with translation to Felix. Felix was very pleased with it and asked me if I was interested in an armguard with a Celtic motif on it as a gift for the translation job. I replied that I would be very pleased to receive one as a gift. This week the arm guard was shipped to my home. The picture shows the arm guard on my arm.

The armguard is a handsome gift indeed!
If I were your Spanish colleague, however, that would be MY arm under it!

Killdeer,

I think he also received an armguard but he is not in (trad) archery (yet).
