I'm going to build my first bow and I think I'm going to build a one piece laminated flatbow.But I like a recurve style riser that melts into your palm with more weight & mass and a wider limb than a typical longbow, so the limb will be not as thick. Should be fun to build.When I get started I'll do a build along. Show me some of your creations and what you shoot !!!! John
