Where can you get some?
I do not know if it is found here in Utah. If not where can I get some?
Rudder Bows sells tonkin(?) cane shafting. Something like $12 for 15 shafts (not straigthened)
There was a fellow in Primitive Archer who said he could supply arrow quality shafting (bamboo) but I can't remember which issue (last April?)
How many are you looking for?
I was just wanting to mess with some until I found some to harvest.
For those that use bamboo shafts will 3/8 work for a decent spine?
3/8 will spine over 100#.
I tried some garden stakes (bamboo) from Home Depot, got 8-9 usable pieces out of bundles of 12-15. these only cost me 3 bucks a bundle, and for just messing around with, certainly didn't break my budget.
Not the nicest shafts, but they are my first attempts at 'boo shaft arrows.
Yep, Home Depot stakes for me. I get the 6 ft. ones then pick out the part that will make the best arrow. Put the narrow end at the rear of the arrow and don't worry about the spine. Shoot em and enjoy.

Thanks for the tips.
I willcheck out home depot.
