Well I just finished building my new quiver thanks to Rob's plan in the How to section.
It's pretty stiff, 9/10 oz leather, so I need to get it softened up a little bit. Can't believe how well this quiver came out of such an easy design.
It's exactly what I was looking for in a quiver, rugged, sturdy, and not flashy.
Was going to put a nother coat of the stain on it to try to even the color out, but the more I look at it the more I like it just the way it is. The only thing I think I might have to change is to put some type of fur around the mouth to keep the arrows from rattling.
What do you guys think?

Very nice :clapper:
Looks Real Good! Take it Out in the Grass, unless its Muddy, and runover it, back & Forth! That will take some of the "Stiff" out of it! :archer: Just my 2 Cents!! :goldtooth:
looks great
Excellent job!!!! I'm looking to do the same thing! Do you have a link to the plans???
I like it. Good job.
Steve
Looks great, I like the stain as is gives it a bit of aged look.
thats very nice i like the stain and how it make the quiver look.
If you decide to give it a coat or two of Montana Pitch Blend for waterproofing and protection, it would soften up a good deal and look considerably darker. Makes a nice finishing touch for a noce project like that...

Nice! I like it! Well done! ;)
That's a wonderful quiver! :clapper: Good job outta you! If you coat the quiver in Sno Seal (its a wax based waterproofer) or mink oil you will find this will help soften the leather. Kinda like when we were kids and broke in our baseball gloves.

Very nice :0)
Good Job!
Nice. Neatsfoot oil works real well for softning leather.
Thanks for the kind words guys. I think I'm going to try the montana pitch, if I can find some.
Never done anything like this before so now I just have to figure out how to put some fur around the mouth.
Does it make a difference on what type of fur I use? Also where would I be able to get my hands on some.
Thanks,
Keith
Sorry Joe, here's a link to the plans.

Thanks Keith, looking forward to making one for myself! Good job!
Well Keith, in your line of work, all you need to do is watch the roads my friend......LOL...Nothing like a little "road kill" for a bunch of fur for quivers.....lol
job well done
Lol Charlie, maybe I'll get some Groundhog or Possum fur!
Keith
I saw your other post. Got cut picking those bones up off the road did you????? roflmao
Nice,I may have to make me one of those.
nice work..if you want to stain again..damp the leather and then stain as the leather is wet..it blends in alot better and try neatsfoot oil or even virgin olive oil and warm the leather when applying it..it will blend nicely
