Title: Anyone use Bi-Delta Rain Vanes?
Post by: The Ursus on February 07, 2007, 02:38:00 PM
I'm thinking about getting some of theses but would like some feedback before I decide to glue any of these goofy looking vanes to my shafts.  Do they really fly good off of a shelf?

Just found these on Bi-Delta's site.  They look pretty sweet but it seems like the "feather fibers" are bigger than the ones above.

I beleive Denny Sturgis said he tried them and was favorably impressed. I have some in my kit I won at a tournament and haven't glued them up yet, but intend to do so soon to test in the rain. I don't see how the little tiny cuts on the vanes can do anything to really help, and they seem almost too small to do any real steering...but other folks say they work. We shall see. Expensive lil buggers though.

Yeah, I figured I'd just put one on each shaft where it contacts the shelf, the other two fletchings would be normal in hopes that it would offset the "wierd" look.  I like the look of the Magnum Bee's above.  They kinda have that nanner look.
