Title: frozen smooth on?
Post by: aric on February 18, 2013, 02:24:00 PM
I just realized I left some smooth in in my garage. I'm sure it froze at some point. Anyone ever had this happen?  Is it OK to use it after it has frozen?

Mine has been in the garage since moving to OH. Made 6 bows lastyear. Just bring it to room temp slowly.

Thanks Troy I was a little worried I ruined it. I had some fletch tight go bad from freezing once. I realise its a totally different type of glue but I wasn't sure it was going to be OK.

I talked to Bingham about it before using it and they told me to just make sure it was brought back to room temp. That can of Smooth-on had been in the garage for two years.

Just got to thinking about and that can of epoxy had been my garage for the four years I lived in MO. Then two years here in OH.

The first year in MO was when we had that 50yr ice storm.

I found an unopened  unit of smooth-on  on a back shelf in my shop 4 years old, I am sure it had frozen many times and it was good to go.
