Nice!! I really need a bandsaw myself. That's a nice one.
Awsome.Now i want one
I've been considering a new band saw myself but I spent an hour this past weekend cleaning, adjusting, and oiling the bearings on my old (50+ year) 14" Delta and she's singing a new tune. I'll probably just keep her for now.
I have a Shop Fox table top jointer that I really like.
Nice saw bud.
Really nice, mine is like Hatric's probably 50+ year old Delta Milwaukee but it still works well.
Ooooo....nice!
Congratulations! nothing like a new saw to put a smile on your face :goldtooth:
Looks like a nice one Cory!
Ohhhh! I looked at that model and desperately want one. Nice very nice.
Very sweet saw.

Nice saw. Sure would like to have one of them!
Nice looking machine. Looking forward to your review of it and some future projects you use it to cut.
Cory, I just ordered a Grizzly. Maybe we can get together sometime and give a comparison to folks.
Al, sounds like a plan. I'm gonna give mine a workout this weekend. Got decent piece of bocote when I picked up the saw so I'm chompin at the bit to get it cut up.
Cory
Congrats! Looks like a really nice band saw. Did you get a few good 1/2 inch blades too?
Thanks a lot Cory, ya just cost me $190.00 for a set of Carter Roller Guides for my saw. Always wanted a set and when I seen your saw, that pushed me over the dam. Least ya could do is offer to pay half for me. LOL
You and your fancy band saw...yup I'm jealous :bigsmyl:
Roy, sorry man, the wife says I don't be needin any more tools for awhile or I'de be half in for ya. :nono: Gotta glue up a bow tonight and then I'm gonna get er all set up and make some cuts.
Women.......
LOL, that saw is nice, have fun and get her dirty.
I've got one of them old Sears 12' saws and be damned if I can get it cutting well. I adjust, oil, lube, and sing it bedtime stories and it just wont cooperate. A new, sharp blade will help for a little while and then it just goes to s!@#. I would love a new fancy saw like that. Will have to start saving my pennies.
Yes I am jealous and look forward to seeing some projects come off that saw. Keep a sharp blade on it.
Cut a little wood tonight. Found some decent Bocote at the hardwood store for lams and a I-beam style riser. I am impressed with the reasults, it is the best investment I've made for bow building.
I just used a cheap 3/8 6tpi blade I picked up at menards. I had no problem cutting the bocote, sliced through it like a hot knife through butter. The lams I cut were .115 and were within .005 for the whole length. I dont think i would have any problem cutting down to .050.

Great ain't it!!
I will get your A/C lams and the red elm out in a day or 2, been snowed under!!
Yeah it's great not having to fight a saw and ruin good wood.
No problem on the lams, they are saying we are supposed to get pounded by snow over here Wednesday and Thursday too, I hope not though I'm ready spring and turkey season.
That is some nice looking wood Cory!
