Hey Guys - With all the give-aways Kenny's been doing lately, great customer service he offers, and sound bowyer advice he provides here, I just thought I'd start an appreciation thread for what he does for us fellow bowyers.
So lets see your bows made with stuff that came from Kenny.
I'll start it off...

This is the form I made using a template I got from KennyM, He said it would make a 62" or 64" bow..the last one I built I left it a little long at 66" and I think it's the best bow I have built to date. (http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt46/Robertfishes/firstlongbowdryrun.jpg)
Kenny is top notch.

Just ordered some more wood, Kenny got the order last night and is shipping tomorrow. He's the man, I'll be posting some pics in the next couple weeks.
Roy you are one sick puppy, pun intended!
Anybody would be hard pressed to find a better person than Kenny. He has ALWAYS taken time out of his day to help me with any questions I've had.
Here is my takedown that I made. I got the smooth on, glass, walnut limb cores, and take down hardware from him.

Nice!! Lots of eye candy here. Keep 'em comin'.
WOW, you guys are really making some fine looking bows. I love the creativity this hobby generates. Looks like Kenny has some high quality woods and service to offer. Does he offer glue and glass as well?
Dave
Hatrick - Yes. He can hook you up on glass and glue.
Never mind the question. I just found Kenny's website. Really nice to know we have a TG member that can supply the goods! I had seen his veeners before but was not aware I could get glass and glue. Sorry, Kenny. Some of us are just a little slow!
:o
Man , you guys make some killer bows!!
I am so glad to help folks build em, I know I have gotten immense pleasure from the ones I've built and hunted with. :)
I still seem to learn something on every one I work on.
Trad guys are the best, I don't know of any other biz that you will find such good... no GREAT folks!! :notworthy: :notworthy:
Got some great cocobolo from Kenny. He has some very nice woods.

Kenny sent me some Osage a while back, it was so nice I made the ole fart a BBO and sent it back to him:)

Sweet bows! All of them! Gonna start building bows now before the S. Texas summer heat shows up! I'll have to place some orders with Kenny for sure.
I have made almost all my bows with stuff from Kenny and I often have folks asking me: "Why do you order overseas, you could have it cheaper around here." What can I say, his lams are just the best ever and on top of it he's a nice guy. Someone here on Trad Gang would probably say: "I guess he's ok !" ;-)

You guys have said it all, I agree!!! :bigsmyl:
These two were made from Kennny's forms. Everything but the riser wood in the first bow is from Kenny. The gray bow is 95% percent Kenny wood and glass all but the ebony. Kenny is unparalleled!

While I have not YET bought a thing from Kenny, all I have is great things to say about him.
He is so helpful and happy, not to mention quick in answering any questions I shoot his way. Total professional, can't wait to place an order soon I hope, as long as my $$ shows up.
You can't go wrong with Kenny thats for sure.
Another fella on here, an old fart, yeah he's ok, i geuss :p
Kenny always goes above and beyond, wish all business' were as good as Kenny's
some seriously nice looking bows here and the lams are topnotch. can't wait to get permission from my wife to start "baking" bows with kennys lams. will say it looks intimidating to create such a work of art out of so many pieces of thin wood. lol
Kenny's great!
timbermoose - Just show your wife the price of a custom bow (pic out one of the most expensive one you can find on the internet), and then show her the price of Kenny's lams and glass to illustrate how much money you'd be saving. It will at least work for a while until she notices that there is no more space on your bow rack. That's the spot I'm in now.
A lot of beautiful wood has made it through his shop!
I have not placed a order with Kenny yet,but will be shortly.I still want to say thanks for all the help he has given me and other newbies
I just hope he is part nun,cuz when I call him he going to need the patience of a saint. :)
Sister McKenzie:) That has a nice ring to it.. LOL
Kenny has been a big help to me. Not only good service and products but lots of bow building advice here.
An osage and an all bocote Hill style longbow.

rockkiller - Man you did it now. Roy's gonna get a lot of milage out of that one.
typical2 - Those are a couple bows I can really relate too. Awesome!!
Beautiful bows everyone!! Of course, good materials make it easier
Kenny's the best... No reason to look anywhere else IMO. Always willing to be of help, and great service
You hain't kidding there John:)
He's alright for a fellow from Missouri...and a a wealth of knowledge too.
John,
You've helped me a lot to with the build alongs. Nice work and keep them coming.
Eric
Double post. Aaaaahhhhhhhh!
Jsweka-Always happy to help :biglaugh:
Kenny seems to go the extra yard for a fella and my dealings have all been nothing but the best.I get all my glass from him and other bits as the need arises.
Thanks guys, I just try to do as I'd want done.
The ol' Golden Rule works pretty good in the long run. :wavey:
Hey guys!
I'm new to the forum, and I just wanted to make this my first stop. I'm working on my first bow right now, and Kenny has been helping me from the word go. He's supplies me with my lams, glue, riser, etc.. and lets me ask about a million questions without complaint. I'll bug you guys from now on, but I just wnated to back up what you guys have been saying and let him know I appreciate all of the extra work he puts in to help out a new guy that he doesn't even know! Thanks Kenny, I'll be posting pictures of my bow soon!

I gotta take back all the bad things I ever said about Kenny. Well almost all of them, some gotta stay:) I just received a package from Kenny this morning and the Ole Boy did me right, Again. Thanks, Kenny.
I`ve been lurking here for months, reading and learning and gawking at all the beautiful bows being made, and pitying myself for not being able to buy stuff from Kenny, because I live in Portugal...silly me, I thought (don`t really know why) that Kenny would only ship to the USA. Well, this thread revealed that was not the case! One mail to Kenny later, and everything all of you ever said was confirmed: the nicest guy to deal with, quick and to-the-point in answer, and generous in knowledge and advice. So, thank you, kennym, for everything. I hope I have further reasons to thank you in the near future (have to check the Customs Taxes - whoever said living in the EU was wonderful must have been a politician!).

A pillar of our community!
Bought some osage lams for a glass bow I never built. Fast service, a very generous person and great quality!

Kenny is the Man for sure! I feel better knowing that I am not the only one bugging him :D
Since I became a membet on TG I've been getting most of my stuff from Kenny. He makes a quality product and gets it in the mail as quck as anyone. Its great having a guy like him around.
I got everything on this bow from Kenny except the bocote. Still got a bit of shaping and finishing but it looks like a bow. Thats a real nice wood combination Cory.
Thanks John, I'm hoping the sage will keep its color but I have a feeling it will darken with age no matter what I finish it with.
I've never built a glass bow, but I will one day. So everyone else seems to think you are a swell guy. I guess you are ok if Roy from Pa says so. I'll take his word for ya. Thanks Kenny. qu
Some of mine (some vertical compression on some of these pictures make the grip look really short and rounded...they aren't)...all supplied by Kenny..always helpful, great products and service.

Just thought I'd bring this one back up to show my latest creations using Kenny's products.
First is the bow I posted about missing weight on. It was to be for a colleague of mine from work, but since it's too heavy for him, it's mine now ;)

Sqeka, yer heading up the list, boy:)

With as many people as Kenny is taking care its amazing how fast he responds with answers to questions.I'm working on my second bow and am a slow learner. When I email a question he answers back quickly, even when I cant get my head wrapped around it and ask the same question again( I'm glad I don't live a state closer,or he might drive over with a 2x4 and knock it in my thick skull) :bigsmyl: :goldtooth:

I'm away from home at school right now, so I don't have any pictures, but the last time I ordered some glass from Kenny he made me a nice little sled to run tapered lams on my grinding jig. Cannot say enough good things about this man. Top class to be sure.
That's ok Rock, they are on the thumpin list:) But Kenny did send me one of his dumb hats... And I wear it all the time, heck I even wear it to bed:)
Do you wear it while at work - at Wal-Mart?
