This will be my first year hunting turkeys with my bow. I shoot a 62" longbow that is 45# @ 28".
My draw length is 26". My bow likes 1916's cut to 27" or 2016's cut to 28". I use 2 bladed broadheads for deer but I'm wondering what kind of broadhead I should use for turkey. Are 2 blade heads suffecient to get the job done quickly or should I be out looking for a 3 blade broadhead like a Snuffer or Woodsman?
Am I shooting enough bow to use 3 blade broadheads or should I stick with my cut on contact 2 blade broadheads?

Turkeys are actually fairly penetration resistant...but I am convinced that head/neck shots are the way to go. Therefore I'd suggest trying the new Magnus Bullhead. Snuffers would be my next choice and would allow neck or body shots. I have killed all of mine with 2 blades...but I vowed never again will I body shoot one from a blind (Being in the blind can keep you from figuring out where he went if you don't anchor the bird with the shot.)
Diddo treeman. I lost two with body shots out of the same blind on the same morning. Both arrows were soaked in blood but neither left a blood trail. I going for the neck only now and use this. :bigsmyl:

I have taken a few turkeys. The key is shot placement.Shoot what you shoot best if you dont hit them right it doesnt matter what you hit them with. Here is a link that will show you where to shoot the body. http://www.turkeyhuntingsecrets.com/library/libindex-bow-shots.htm
Use what You use for Deer...
