Anyone know which bows the top IBO longbow shooters are using?
I heard they will be shooting 56" Banshees!
Just joking Randy.
Isn't that what Dave Wallace shoots with his Wallace Mountain longbow? He's won a ton of titles with those longbows!
The ones I know of are about as diverse as the rest of us-Rod Jenkins shoots an Adcock, Milton Calloway his 21st Century, Ricky Welch shoots his bows...forget what Bill Leslie was shooting, but it was a different one also.
Any of these guys can shoot most any bow and spank the average shooter--it's not the bow, but rather the monkey behind it.

Another thanks to Milton and his 21st Century bows. Several years ago I shot at Cloverdale with him and he loaned me one of his bows to try. It was awesome! I have owned one ever since and I do see a lot of the top shooters with them. Good bow, good price and a great guy to deal with.
Not the bows that make the shooter but the shooter that sells the bows.
I understand it's the guy pulling the string that makes the most difference. There are however IMO some bows better suited to target games.I don't expect to be able to buy a bow that makes a poor archer into a great one.I do see though in most competition type events equipment does matter.
Thanks guys for the input.I really do appreciate it.

Chad,
The last I knew, Bill was shooting an Iron Mountain longbow. I've also read where some have opined that he could shoot against most of we average Joes with a switch and piece of twine for a string and beat us with our best longbow. That can probably be said of all of the shooters you listed, as well! :)
