I've got a few tree on my jobsite I have to remove. I think they are elm and black locust, but I'm not sure. Think you guys can help?

Yup and yup!
Let me know if you get too much elm - I would be glad to help you out!
Cut some long straight sections. You'll have plenty of takers!
dats dem---nice ones too!!
Thanks guys. I was gonna cut them regardless, but now really tryand save em
Be careful with that elm, its kinda nice stuff.
I'm looking forward to it Pearlie. It's one of the woods I've been wanting to try.
You'll say..well that was nice,its good wood,but it ain't osage ;) ....lol
Looks like both are bow worthy to me...lightly temper the locust, and give the elm a deeper darker tempering
Thanks for the advice.
I like to work a few "other" woods to make me really appreciate the osage I have growing everywhere. Even if it wasn't better than the rest I would still pick it just on color alone. :-)
Have fun splitting that elm.
Looking forward to it
That elm will split a lot better if you cut fairly deep kerfs with a circular saw.

Or get some guy to use his track hoe...

I should have had him split them into smaller pieces!
