YEP.... I'm that stupid. Just got this bow mostly finished. Its a 53" ttt, 5/8" wide at the handle bendy handle Osage selfbow. Right now its pulling 47#@27". This bow has not been a easy task, This thing has been under the heat gun more than 20x at least. I have been monkeying with this bow for almost 2 years now. There were many times when I thought it would never survive. It has tested my patients to every end. I think I might send it back under the heat gun to treat the belly and see if I can get a little more weight out of it.
Thanks,
Boswell
Purty dog gone neat...
I think its awesome. If you shoot 10 arrows out of it and it breaks I still think its worth it. Because you learned alot and got better at doing it along the way. You'll learn from it and make the next bow better. Or this bow may reward your efforts by obediently casting arrows for years. Its nice just looking at it.
Nice full bend.
Think ya got all the bend out of that one ;)
Looks good.
Rob
I love it!
Looks like you've got every fiber in that stick workin'!!! :scared:
Looks like its about to break...
better send it to me!

That's AWESOME!!! When I first saw it, I thought it was extra thick from back to belly....then I remembered how short it was and realized it was an illusion. I guess any actual increase in thickness is because its only as wide as my thumb?!
If I were you, I'd leave that good-looking bow well enough alone and call it good. You've got more out of it than most guys would even attempt. Nice work. :)
Dems some sweet bends. Man you definitely got all there is to get out of that one! Great job
X2 what 4est said..
Great job bending that one!!
Good job Bobby! That looks good, but how does shoot?
Hey, if you want some more weight why don't you just take about an inch or inch and a half off each end. That should get you a few extra pounds.
Haha! Glad to see you finally got that thing to be a bow.
Good Job!! David
That's a purty bow Bobby!
