I've been making up arrow of light/career arrows for the local cub scout pack for the last 10 years. Every years I think they get better and better. Just wanted to share some pics of this years crop. The boys are always excited to get them because each is an individual. Each crest on the arrow signifies a specific rank of achievement that they completed during their years in scouting thus far.

The ramin shafts I got from Horatio1226 (Brian Hatch), points, feathers, sinew and silk from 3R.
The parents add their input by cresting the arrows themselves for their boys and put together the plaques and certificates that are awarded to the Arrow of Light receipients as they graduate to Boy Scouts.
That is awesome!! Great looking arrows as well. Keep up the good work!!
Nice arrows. Have there been concerns with using stone points? On the last batch I made, the person did not want anything sharpe. So, I rounded the point end and painted it sliver and high lighted in black.
I've been doing the stone points for about 4 years and dulled trade points before that. I brought up my concerns with sharpened points the first year, but the parents weren't concerned then and no one has brought it up since. dino
Thats awesome what your doing. I wish I had gotten one years ago when I crossed over. It's been many years and I went on to be an eagle scout aswell. Keep up the good work. I hope to involve my sons in scouting soon. Jason
Those look fantastic Dino! Kids are going to love those for sure. Made up my first set of scout arrows this year and working on another set right now for another scout master. Good job! -ART B

Great job. Here is my version. I fashion the broadheads using modeling clay that is baked in the oven. Wish I could do the stone heads they really look great. I get such a kick out of how much the boys like them!

Good job right from the heart. The boys will be proud to have one of those! I have two boys in scouts and one has gotten his arrow of light. In a couple of years the second will get his.
