does anyone know the taper rate bighorn used on thier takedown recurve and stack height they used to get a 55lb bow? i have a friend that has given me bighorn td and the bottom limb is broke and i would like to make a set of limbs for it. i am planning to copy the top limb design, but i have never shot a bighorn and i have read that they had some limb trouble back in the day. so i was wondering if the problems were b/c of limb design or jsut something that happens.
i am looking for something in the 50lb range. it has a 19" riser and it is a 62" bow.
You can find the taper rate by making a mark past the wedge a little, then going 10" and making another. Check both places with a caliper or mike , find the difference and divide that # by 10.
ie: .020 diff is .002 per inch.
Don't know on the Bighorn limb probs...
