Title: Osage logs
Post by: I Dream of Osage on March 31, 2012, 02:30:00 PM
Got a call from a tree trimming friend yesterday to pick up a few osage logs. I love it when I get there and they look like these.

Even I can follow rings like these. LOL

Nice find!

I had a mullberry removed from my yard awhile back and have been kicking myself for not recognising it as a bow wood. I hope the tree trimmer had a bow building friend on speed dial.

Dan, I heat with wood and also turn game calls on the lathe. Between bow building and call making I have trouble coming up with enough wood to stay warm. LOL
