Title: 2 piece connection question
Post by: northland archer on March 27, 2012, 01:17:00 PM
Wanted to get a few ideas of how to fix this problem.  I am in the proceess of tillering an osage 2 piece and noticed that one of the sleeves is a little loose (sloppy).  The other side has been pinned and is tight.  Are there any fixes that will help tighten it up?  I am afraid it will get worse once i get it strung up and shooting.  Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Did you epoxy the sleeve on?  You can try to remove it and redo it with epoxy.

So one of the sleeves is loose within the other? Try bending the outer sleeve so that it fits tighter. Pic's always help  ;)

If you dont mind rigging it... you could always put a little tape around the small end just to snug it up a little when it slides in place

I was thinking just something like that arrowlauncherdj, I was also wondering if i could build up the loose area with epoxy and work it down to fit more snug?  I tried bending the outer sleeve but there is just too much play.  I will try some pics later today.
thanks much
