Does anyone know of a bow holder that is made for tradbows that sticks in the ground. I am going to try and make one since I can't find any at archery supply places but I wanted to check with you folks first. It sure would make running a turkey call handy if you could have your bow in a holder at the ready. Thanks!
:)
Or, how to build one?
Good topic.
I'm thinking it would be just one more thing to pack in, one more thing to get in the way at the "Moment of Truth"....I'll just use me lap!!!
I have a bent welding rod that hangs from the top of my double bull that I hang my bow from while i am calling turkeys or waiting for a deer to show up. Cheap and easy just hook over one of the support rods.

Good idea, I didn't think of suspending my bow while in a pop up blind. :)
I just lay my bow on the ground in the blind, works good and I never forget to bring it.
I remember a Fred Bear movie; where he took a knife and cut three 'Y' shaped branches; put two for the bow itself sticking up from the ground; and one for the string. The bow was only off the ground a few inches; but he could pick it up in silence..... :campfire: :archer:
As Brian said, I have used the 3 forked sticks method for 45 years. Works great, is cheap, and you can make them up when you get where your going, so there is nothing to pack in. :archer:
and double bull used to make one..don't know if they still do, but check the website.
