Post by: brackshooter on February 22, 2008, 07:34:00 PM
Was offered one of these at a good price, need to know more about them, and the website wasnt all that helpful.  Are they straight limbed or r/d?  Good shooters?  Fast, Slow, Medium?  Handshock?  Any help much appreciated.

I have seven JD Berry's.  Three are Scorpions.  Scorpions are R/D, good shooters, and depending on the bow, average to above average in speed.  JD has been making the Scorpion on the Renaisance form so it is basically the same bow without as much fancy riser work and no inlays in the limbs.  Pricewise, new Scorpions run $450 plus $60 if it has a Yew core.

Its mild R and D brack.Narrow limb, deep core, trapeziod cross section.D shape when strung.light streamlined riser.locator grip.Small grip.Good shooting bow and quiet.Has a whippy feel to it.Not sure if it fits your style?Alot different than your Rose Oak you loved for sure.Would not hurt to try it and see how it goes. You could trade it if its not your cup of tea.Might feel good to you with a bowquiver and some arrows in it to increase the mass wieght like the bows you normally shoot
