Here's some pics of the little osage bow I built my Bride for Christmas.
Got new internet service so now I can do more pics :D
60" Tip to tip 24# @ 25" a few whoopdies in her with some flipped tips and a little R/D off of DVShunters caul design.
Skinned with copperheads and buffalo horn tips and underlays. Did a tanned copperhead skin leather handle wrap that turned out great.
Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

Very nice Kris, bet she will love it.
If she can't shoot it Roy she can always whoop somebody with it LOL
Kris, just remember these two words, Yes Dear:) I say it all the time here:)
:deadhorse:
Know those words by heart Roy :D
If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.
Great lookin bow Kris. I like the underlays and handle. I have been wanting to do that same thing with a thick albino burmesse python scrap i have. Thanks for the gentle nudge!
Dave all you need to do to tan those dried snakes is soak them a solution of denatured alcohol and glycerin. You can get glycerin at the drug store. I'll look up the ratio for the mix and drop you a pm.
Soak your skin in it for a few days and lay it out and let it dry. It works pretty well. I glued the copperheads to another piece of leather for the wrap since they are so thin but it worked great.
Beautiful little bow, Kris. The detail work is exceptional. Looks like Momma loves it too. Well done!
Just got off the phone with Kris's wife. She gave me the low down. She said Kris made it for himself, but at 24 pounds, it wuz just a bit much for a coal miner to shoot:)
Lmoa! We all had our suspisions.
:deadhorse:
The secret's out Roy LOL

Joe she likes it pretty good. I figured the only way I was ever gonna get her shooting was finish her one up and I figured Christmas was a good a time as any.
