Thanks to guys on this forum I accomplished a long time goal - build my own bow from a tree I cut down and then hunt and kill a deer with it.
Its not the prettiest bows and not the fastest but it got the job done! Thanks again for your help!

Excellent!!! Quite the rush isn't it?
Mitch that is great, it is great feeling knowing you can do. I did the same this year. Well I did not cut the tree down myself, but made my bow and arrows. That is a great looking bow and doe. Congratulations on a great accomplishment.
Well done!! :clapper:

Your hunting world just took a hard right! Time for another direction. Congrats on the bow and deer Mitch. I can see my the braced pic you made a good bow.
Congrats.
Good job, Mitch!
Thanks for the kind words gentleman. I've shot lots of deer over the years none any more satisfying!
PD - you may remember the bow when I first put it on the tiller tree - not pretty! Art gave some great suggestions and it turned out good nuff. It still has a "chrysal" in the top limb but it is hanging tuff with several hundred shots through it.
Merry Christmas!
Mitch
