Title: Tigerwood?s
Post by: H8nonCubs on December 06, 2011, 06:15:00 PM
I'm working on a deck that just so happens to be Tigerwood (goncalo alves). The boards are 1" by 5 1/2". Ill probably end up with several pieces over six foot long. Was just wondering how many of you have any experience with this member of the teak wood family, i.e. what kind of backings, layout, finishes etc.
Any experiences good or bad would be appreciated. Thanks for reading.

I have used it for risers but never for a bow limb. altho I think I would work fine. I have built many bows using IPE (also deck material) with good results.
