The Coots Clan hopes to be there. Here's some info...more to come...
"If you're an active TBG member, you won't get a flyer, cause you got a newsletter. I'm in the process of mailing 600 or so flyers to our friends and neighbors in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennesee, North and South Carolina, in the hope of boosting attendance.
We will have some vendors there. Dan Masson custom knife maker, Sipsey River Archery, Ray Tarella who specializes in refinishing bows, Tim Rhoden of Feather Lite Bows have told me they'll be there.
IF you guys need archery supplies, PLEASE HOLD SOME OF YOUR SPENDING, AND SUPPORT THESE VENDORS WHO ARE COMING TO OUR SHOOT.
Also coming is John Freeland. He will host the Georgia State Archery Wingshooting Championship. He brings a lot of excitement to an event. He also brings flu flu arrows, so you guys just bring your skills. For info on wingshooting go to www.blueridgeoctober.com (http://www.blueridgeoctober.com)
Here's some basic info not in the newsletter about the shoot.
$25 per competitive shooter, $40 for a family of competitive shooters. $10 per shooter for the fun course, $20 family to shoot the fun shoot. Competitive fee includes the fun shoot. There will be a coon shoot, and a new "Dirty Harry" format shoot that is great fun, and will be a good fund raiser.
Equipment guidelines are simple. Primitive bows must be of all natural materials, synthetic strings and plastic arrow nocks allowed, wood arrows required. Recurves and longbows must be shot off the shelf. Arrows for longbows and recurve classes may be of any material but must weigh a minimum of 450 grains for men's competition. Minimum arrow weight waved for all other classes."

Looks like not many planning on attending, why?
-
Part of it could be the TTAS banquet and first leg of the TN Triple Crown that same weekend. I'd love to do both, but can't be in two places at once.
The wingshooting competition is great--lots of fun, super nice trophies as well.
