This is a modified 58" bingams Design..I used a 21 1/2" bubinga riser with brown glass for strength and long fades and a 29" actionboo power lam, veneers are also bubinga, total stack was .250, bow came out at 54#s @ 28" (http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt46/Robertfishes/augustbubinga2011c.jpg) (http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt46/Robertfishes/bubingaaug2011.jpg)

Very nice, gooood loooking. Bue--.
Nice Work. Beautiful bow
That's a beauty for sure.
Any full draw pictures? Nice to say the least
You did good, Robert!
I've never been a fan of Bingham's designs but, Brother, you did that on PROUD!
Excellent work and wood choice. Shoot it with pride. I would.
VERY NICE!
Love those lams!!! Great job on that one. How does it shoot with the mods you made to it?
Trux I havn't shot it alot but the power lam really stiffens up the limb, I do have to shoot a stiffer arrow over the other 53# non PL bow I built 2 years ago. I have not shot these bows thru a chrono but cast seems good..I used to have a few Black Widows and cast is similar?? the Binghams chart shows that a .250 stack should come in arround 45 lbs, this one with 21 1/2" riser and the 29" PL came in at 54 lbs. other specs are .690 inch limb tip width and limb width taper starts at the end of fades 1.73" to 11/16" wide at string nock.
Nice looking bow Robert!!!
ANother good looker Robert.
Shawn
thanks for the kind words, I am still on a learning curve..I am building Helen another "KennyM" 64" R/D longbow, she wanted more mass weight so this one has 24 pieces of glass in the riser. Kenny sent me some nice amberboo tapers and parallels,040 UL glass and glue that are going into the limbs. veneers will be thin stripe zebrawood cut out of this piece thats 7" wide and 80"long. (http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt46/Robertfishes/zebraveneerforhelen.jpg)
24pcs! Wow! That should stiffen it up, could we get a comparison on how it shoots and performance of the other one?
Thanks!
kenny
There's only one problem I see with that bow - NOT ENOUGH PICS. Please post some more.
Seriously though, I'm not a recurve guy, but that one is absoulutely beautiful! Well done.
Robert that is so nice. However you will always be on a learning curve. I can see that you will just get better and better. Great job.
God bless you, Steve
Kenny, the glass fades may be a little stiff so I'm gonna shorten the riser a little and add two 040 pieces of amberboo to riser for long thin fades with a power lam effect. Helen has a 25" draw and don't put a lot of stress on her bows, gonna cut this one 3/16 past center with a nice window cut out for her gap shooting style, theres at least 3/4" of solid glass so I think it's strong enough... Sixby, I wish I could spend a week watching a real bowyer work. I still have trouble shaping grips.
I'll ask Helen to take some full draw pics of the Bubinga bow tomorrow.
Gonna try to build another Recurve before sept 17th, Pau fero riser, amberboo tapers, medium brown etimoe veneers or those nice Morado veneers I got from kennym last year.
