Chad Thanks for helping to get the grip right man! I really appreciate it Bro!
Very Nice LeRoy! Good luck with her. How's she shoot?HMMM should be around 44#s at my 27" draw.
Well I have only shot two arrows out of her so far but they were touching at about 15 yards.
Saweeett bow man,, can't wait to see it at deer camp ,,J
Might get to see it sooner than that J. Who knows? Might be a 3D shoot we all go to.
LeRoy, Is the shelf on that bow flat or is there a radius and I can't see it? Also would like to see the veneers on that baby.
Congrats  :D
Brian the shelf is pretty flat. Might be radiused just ever so slight. I'll get some veneer pics up later tonite.
Nice! ;)
WOW!!!! you got to many bows LEROY you dont need that one. :clapper: congrats on your new toy.
Very nice
sweeet.
You are so predictable :p Love the zircote and osage. You sure no how to pick 'em! With that length and a little mass to the riser I bet you'll be deadly. You may have found the ONE... nah, but one of the one's!
I just love that wood combo! Such contrast!
Great lines...hope to shoot one of these one day.
Man was a beautiful bow!! Cant wait to see it up close and personal at Cloverdale!!
It'll be there with me for sure Tim. How many more Shrews you gonna have by then?
LeRoy...that's one of the best looking Zippers I've ever seen. Congrats...looks like Bill did good.
Thanks Dick. I'm gettin ready to call Bill right now and thank him for the beautiful job on this one.
wow leroy looks great I hope i get to see it in person
Love the wood combination!
New pic of Veneers and quiver hood on original post.
Love the veneers. I think I have another favorite wood.
Love those Zipper bows! What was special about the grip? Let me know how you like that quiver after you break it in. Thinking of getting one made for my bow. Congrats
Zircote is really nice stuff. the grip is identical to Chad Jones Zipper with just a touch more palm swell, and I had him check it at final sanding.
I have two Zippers...a zipstick and a recurve. Both are sooooo sweet. My recurve is not the extreme...I've shot an extreme and prefer the non-extreme. The longbow is so soft and forgiving that it's unbelieveable...I actually shoot it better than the recurve..just a tad, and I think it's because it's do "predictable", doesn't do anything wierd, just puts the arra where yur lookin'...who could want more than that?
Leroy
Very cool brother, very cool. Me an you is gonna have some fun at Cloverdale dude!!!
50# @ 29"......aaahhhh...music to my bow arm!!!
Yep we shoot the same specs now Steve! Man I can't wait til C-Dale!!
Leroy, if all goes as planned for now I should only have 2 that you havent seen. One I picked up in Kzoo a few weeks ago and the other is on order but I might not have it by then!!
Beautiful bow!
for those of you considering a Zipper...one of the finest features of Bob's design was his pairing of shedua and curly maple to create a strong laminated riser that was beautiful, functional, extremely strong, AND LIGHT WEIGHT in comparison to most exotic wood risers.
Remember you will be carrying this bow in the field for many hours and even half a pound can make a huge difference in your energy level at the end of a day of stalking. My 1989 riser is considerably lighter than any other TD recurve I've owned...everyone who touches it remarks on that feature..as well as its beauty.
I highly recommend this wood combination as an option on your Zipper, or any other bow for that matter, if only from a practical perspective.
Leroy sweet bow...can't wait to shoot her!
Great looking bow! Those woods look excellent together.
Geez, LeRoy, first the TimberGhost and now an Extreme. I guess you're going to have to get a Thermal to get a complete copy of my bow rack! :biglaugh:
Cool combo on that riser. Interesting to see him not do the ususal "double arc" that Bob always did. Congrats!
Norb
LOL! Norb what can I say? you got good taste in bows. But for our racks to be totally alike you would nedd a few RER bows.
Absolutely Stunning LeRoy, what a beautifule bow...
I can't keep up>>
Love the matching quivers!!!

Howattman
Man that looks awesome. I didn't get to see after the finish was sprayed. I sure am glad the grip was the way you wanted it. I told Bill that if you didn't like it, it was all his fault. But since you like it i will take full credit! :D Now ya need to get some blood on it.
Sure gonna do my best.
Now that is sooooo pretttttyyyyy. Lucky you!!
This is the bow that was to be sold to raise money for Kayla.

Just saw this thread. Wow almost fell of the computer chair. Gotta read this whole thread over again.
Painful memories.
Still no confirmation about where this bow ended up?
u guys gotta stop-got it down to Zipper or Foley for me next t/d recurve, but just got new assenheimer and dorado so need to wait a bit.
If the bow is still waiting for a new home, I bet it would raise more with a raffle. It should be easy to sell a couple hundred $10 tickets for Kayla and LeRoy.
Yeah, JC, this one caught me out of the blue, too.
Sue is checking with Leroy's father on the where abouts of the bow..
I talked to Chester Carlson tonight.
I copied pictures of the Zipper bow from the post on Tradgang and e-mailed them to him. He and Kayla will try to remember what they did with the bow. The did mail a bow (unsure of which one), but Chester couldn't remember to whom. He said he will check his e-mails tomorrow and get back to me.
They had a family get together in LeRoy's memory and Chester said it was a lot of fun.
I informed him that the RER Bow will be auctioned in August.
I'll post after Chester e-mails me or calls me.

Thanks Sue. Let me know if they still have this bow and would like it included in the raffle.
