Wow!  That is some really cool looking stuff.  I might have to learn how to build with lams.

I've been working with wood for years but mostly furniture stuff like oak, cherry, walnut, pine, some hickory and a little birch.  I don't know that I ever heard of bocote until I started looking into building a bow.

Sorry guys, that pc is gone...  :(

Shawn, I wish those could have been yours, you were one order late.....  :goldtooth:

I have more bocote coming, won't promise all to look like that.

Sometimes a 2x2 only yields one bows worth after the creative cutting to get the flattest grain is done...  :p

I have GOT to get a bigger band saw.....  :)   What width blade do you use for the resawing?  I haven't had good luck with my 3/8".  I'm guessing it will take 1/2" or bigger to do a decent job without creating a bunch of waste.

1/2" wide, and if it don't cut strait,

RETUNE !LOL

I cut my lams .035 over what I want for finished product. So she has to be tuned dead nuts!  :)
