Title: HBH, snow day project
Post by: PEARL DRUMS on February 03, 2011, 04:31:00 PM
Here is my snow day project. Its hickory backed hickory with a hickory handle section. 66" NTN, 58# @ 29". I glued 2" of reflex in and ended up with about 1/2" of follow..so far. Shoots hard and strong. Still needs a sanding job and finish.

Nope, the weather has most deliveries at a hault. Those billets and horn tips are going to sit in my shop until Im 100% sure I wont screw it up. This bow boosted my confidence a ton. I learned to trust the gizmo. I had trust issues with the gizmo before and just forced myself to let it do the dirty work this time. Guess what? That dang thing works just like everybody said it would!

You got that right Stan, good hand tools make hickory fairly easy to move around. No tip flipping on this one AKmud. I am going to increase my reflex by 2" next time around, I want at least 1" left over after shoot in. Thanks for the kinds words everybody..................except Roy....
