Hey guys what is the best way to prepare osage in the winter time. say you cut he log and split it into quarters and seal the ends? should you remove the bark imediately and seal the back or should you just leave the bark on? What is the best option for winter time osage harvesting?

Most guys will remove the bark if they have time and seal. If you don't remove the bark you need to spray the bark real good with a bug spray that killsthe borers that hatch when it warms up. I have some in my garage from last winters cutting that I did not remove bark or spray and haven't noticed any bugs eating it but I'm sure if I leave it that way it won't be long.
I actually like to leave the bark and sapwood on for the first year of drying but that's just me.
