As some of you may know I've been planning to buy a new bow around around tax time. I've been asking questions about different bows for a while so here it goes: those of you who own or have shot a Mamba- what are your impressions? Quality, speed, handshock? Thank you for replies.
bmfer, I bought a Mamba for my son a year ago and I'v got to say I love it. Quality is great, it's very quick, and very quiet. No hand shock. I'm sure you'd be very happy with it.
I owned one and for the money you can't beat it. Killed four deer in ME. with that bow. My poor old dad was watching me field dress a buck I had just shot with it and put his ATV in reverse to head home and broke the bow right at the rise. You'll like it and as stated by Harmless, no hand shock...
Buy one, they are good bows. Post an add for a used one if you want to save some money. Mine has thousands of arrows through it. You can't hardly hurt them, unless you run over it with an ATV.
Get it, you cant go wrong with a Mamba.
Should I mention that the only other trad bow I have is a 62" Martin Savannah. The Mamba is 58", I've been wanting to try a shorter bow for the treestand or maybe a blind, will this cause problems or will it just take some getting used to?
or you could get a custom bow, went to sipsey river archery today and shot a black creek bow ,light in the hand ,smooth ,quiet, and no hand shock, talk to john at sipsey he can hook you up with anew bow ,with warrenty,GREATguy to work with .no joke the black creek is an awsome bow ,got one for my son, and in a month i will get one for me
As far as I'm concerned, I'd hunt either one anywhere. The only time I've seen any issues with a blind, is maybe a 68 or longer.
You can't go wrong with a Mamba. Fast, smooth and quiet. I think the smoothest bow Martin makes. My opinion of course.
