My friend has a glass longbow. There is a ding on the side of the working portion of the limb.
On the belly in from the ding there are 2 -1 1/2 inch long cracks in the glass. This is clear glass and the cracks grow with 2/3 draw force. Most of the crack is below surface level.
The question is the best way to repair. Super glue has been added to the surface cracked area and now the bow can be drawn and shot without further damage.
He'd like to bullet proof it. Suggestions welcome.

i had a small crack running lengthwise on one of my limbs. about 2" long. i was worried that it would get longer as the bow was drawn. i used a 1/16 drill bit and drilled a shallow hole right where the crack ended and filled with epoxy. it worked. it's been 8 years. if you use this method. just make sure you don't drill thru the glass.

Good suggestion th drill a small hole at the end of the crack, it stops the crack from going any further.
