I just finished a new TD recurve and my Ridgid oscillating sander burned out. After 80 some bows I thaut I was done, but I went out and got a new one. What a Hobby!!!
I've told Renee many times "this is the last one I'm buildin for me" , she just shakes her head!
Ridgid does make nice tool. Did you have the lifetime warrenty on that sander? might want to check, they may give you a new one.
It should have came with a lifetime warranty....Also..if it is just failing to start all together, the switch may be dusty. That happened to mine and I almost went out and got another, but I took the switch apart cleaned it and it works just like new again.
My Dad gave me that sander about ten years ago when I first started making bows, after your comments about the warrenty, I gave him a call and he has the book and card. so I will take the new one back and send the old one back to Ridgid and see what happens. Thanks guys I'll let you know what they say. Now after seeing all the nice work you guys are doing I'm all fired up about making bows again. Now all I got to do is convice the wife.
re "last bow"... I think my next one will be named "Potato Chip"!
I really enjoy seeing all the names you come up with Dick.
