I'm an"If I see it I can do it" kind of a person and it's been my experience that books just don't show and or tell all you REALLY need to know.Find a bow school to attend, you'll save time and lots of money on materials.I went to Hornes Archery for some training;unbelievable what Mark Horne has done with his trade. Give him a call, he's a sponsor here.

Jack Harrison "traditional bowyer: more unecessary fun". It has extensive chapters on every single step, from making the form, laying out before glue up, shaping risers...all the way to backing with snakeskin, etc.
Just difficult to find...

That said...There is in my opinion NOTHING you need to know that cannot be found here on this forum  ;)
