Title: Riser limb bolt idea?

Hey all,

I am planning on building my next takedown riser and had a thought.  I am planning on drilling the riser limb bolt inserts from the belly side of the riser so that it would be impossible for the limb bolt insert to pull out the front during draw. I never had one pull out before but it is always on my mind that it could. I sometimes build bows with highly burled wood that is a lot of times weaker than "normal" wood.  Any suggestion or advice would be great.

I did a few that way when I initially started a number of years back.  I used press inserts that have a flange on them and they worked fine.  I didn't cover the insert so you saw it on the belly side, but not a big deal.
I now just use the threaded inserts with the large threads (wood threads) and epoxy them in.  Never had any issues.
