If youve never tried a Foley recurve you dont know what your missing, traded for one awhile back and have just here recently been shooting it alot, got a chance to chronograph it the other day w/arrows from 8gr.#-10gr# at alittle over 28 in. draw and its smoking fast...averaged 203 fps. w/8gr.#, 192 fps.w/9.2gr.# and 185 fps. w/10gr.#. Was shooting it last night at our 3-d dart league and buy the time it was over 2 guys were wanting to buy it, its quite, stable and has one of the best grips on a bow Ive had. If you havent shot one you owe it to yourself to, these bows will hang with the best of them out there in every department.
Congrats, it sounds like a winner.

They look a little like a Palmer-I want one, but my new RER isn't even here yet, but it is being shipped this week!
Dean I hear ya loud and clear. I regret the moment I ever traded my Foley off, the fastest 51# bow I have ever shot. the grip was like the Asbell grip on a widow Those sleek dirty bamboo limbs and a Rosewood wave in it, Awesome bows no doubt.
Hey Rob, I think Ive got your old bow, its got the dirty bamboo limbs and is 51@28, sent Ron a pic. of it and he said it might be a bloodwood wave with bocote riser, what woods were the one you had, I bet this is the same bow, Ill post a pic later....Dean

It's actually Rosewood & Cocobolo
Tim, were you the original owner by chance?
I was set up next to Ron's booth at the McAlester shoot last August. I spent some time admiring his work and it was a pleasure to sit and talk with him and his wife. I never shot one of his bows because I knew if I did I'd be handing him some money.
